mindful change
...with hypnotherapy, psychotherapy and coaching
a session
The first session is 1.5hrs so we can talk about the outcome that you want to achieve, the approaches we can take, complete some paperwork and, most importantly, get a sense of whether we would work well together. Thereafter, a session may be for 1hr or 1.5hrs.
It is important that you feel comfortable with your therapist/coach and this is a very personal choice. I will also reflect on whether I am the right person for you and I will be willing to refer you to a more appropriate therapist because my first consideration is doing what's best for you, the client.
The number and frequency of sessions depends on the issue with which you want to work, different people have different needs and processing times. Together, we will agree the number of sessions and to review our progress at a certain point before the end of the programme. Weekly sessions are preferable, particularly at the beginning, and we can move to 2–3 week intervals depending on your schedule and financial situation. Hypnotherapy or coaching programmes are typically short and sometimes involve top-up sessions at a later date. The number and frequency of sessions will be discussed in the first session and, thereafter, you are free to decide to stop the programme at any time.
Our work together is completely confidential apart from when there is an issue of serious harm to yourself or another person. In this very rare instance, I will tell the client that I need to break confidentiality.
Please phone or email to enquire about the cost of sessions. Payment can be made by cheque or cash; sorry, I cannot accept credit or debit cards.
what you need to bring
It's helpful for you to bring an open-mind, a positive attitude and a desire to do this work — this is your time. We can work with your motivation in a very productive way toward your goal. Also, be willing to share thoughts, feelings or images that might relate to the reason that brought you here — things come to mind for a reason.
Try not edit, judge or analyse what comes up for you during your session — go with the flow in your exploration and movement towards the outcome that you want.
